A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.

Clergy Thought: As we approach the weekend of 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Firstly, I love Pope Leo's latest "Daily Thought”:” EVERY MORNING WHEN YOU WAKE UP, IT MEANS GOD HAS ANOTHER DAILY PLAN FOR YOU ....… "Here then, far more humbly, my thoughts for the coming weekend:  "our lives, no matter how we see them, are not those of the great privileges of life, no matter how we value ourselves. We will, as long as we honour and live our Faith, be invited to the Heavenly Kingdom of God and there be seated where we are to be but always face to face with Our Lord as promised.  So, in our worldly feasts, we must always remember those less well off in our invitations." Rev Dcn David Croucher

You are all invited to “A Fountain of Hope”, a day of renewal in our parish of St Henry Morse, on 6th September 10:00 – 16:15 with guest speaker Fr Alvan Ibeh. This grace filled day will include Holy Mass (10:00), praise & worship, inspiring talks, Reconciliation, Adoration & individual prayer ministry. Refreshment drinks will be provided, please bring a packet lunch. The event is free, donations to cover costs are much appreciated

Children's Liturgy will resume on 7th September at 1000 Mass

CAFOD: Response in Gaza. Your donations to Gaza since the start of the conflict have been a vital lifeline. Right now, CAFOD’s partner, Caritas Jerusalem is delivering essential medical treatment to displaced people and providing medicines to treat chronic illnesses. We have helped 1,400 households with cash to buy supplies in the last month and we are currently feeding 2,000 people with new stocks of flour and rice. Despite the restrictions on aid coming into Gaza, CAFOD’s local partners are working tirelessly to help people. And with your ongoing support, they will do all in their power to keep doing so. You can find out more how to make a difference in Gaza at www.cafod.org  Thank you for backing our work through holding collections for our Family Fast Day appeals and for continuing to pray for peace in the Middle East.
