Parish News

A warm welcome to everyone. Tea and coffee are served after the 10.00am Mass on Sundays and the 09.30 Mass on Wednesdays; all are invited to join us. Father Alex offers a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting the parish this week.

Clergy Thought: The readings for the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C focus on themes of wealth, responsibility, and the afterlife. They challenge us to reflect on our own lives in light of eternal values. In the first reading we are warned against being complacent while others suffer. The psalm praises the justice of God. In the second reading Paul reminds us to pursue virtues. In the gospel Jesus tells the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus. We are called out to examine ourselves, who enjoy comfort but fail to notice the suffering around us. St. Paul encourages us to seek righteousness, faith, and love. These virtues guide us toward a life that pleases God and helps others. Are we using our blessings to help others, in line with our responsibility and afterlife, as Christians? May we live with compassion and generosity, so as to draw closer to God and find true joy. Amen! Fr Alex

Our parish collection will help CAFOD continue supporting communities like Waré’s in Ethiopia.
